Who am I?
Hi there! I'm Denise Heijkenskjöld, a UX/UI Designer, Illustrator and digital artist based in Sweden.
I believe in the power of creativity and innovation, and I want to be a part of it. I want to create things that impact people in a meaningful way.
I strive to be a positive force in this world, which I believe comes from finding happiness in the simple things and helping other people in need.
Other than that, I'm a nerdy girl who has a ton of hobbies (gaming, boardgames, anime/manga, writing, baking, etc). I love creating community and I honestly just like people in general.
And also — I love dragons and the color pink!

Empathy
I'd say I'm a fairly emotion-driven person. That can make me vulnerable to others' negative feelings, but it also helps me empathize more deeply and understand their perspective.
Leadership
I have been the student representative in three different schools, helped create the student union for Chas Academy and am currently sitting as the president for one of DSV's student union sub-sections.
Outspoken
One thing I have learned: Disagreements aren't bad. If done well, they lead to conversations and end in better solutions and compromises. Therefore, I tell people when I disagree with them, and why.
Creative
Creativity is something that I lead my life with. It is the reason I started drawing and writing in the first place. I wanted to get the ideas in my head out into the real world. And I continue to do so.
